Unfair dismissal time limit is 21 days

A person has 21 calendar days to lodge a claim for unfair dismissal.

A person has 21 calendar days to lodge a claim for unfair dismissal. Time is counted from the date that the dismissal became effective. An extension of time may be granted by the Fair Work Commission, but only in exceptional circumstances.

Note: if time is running out, the Fair Work Commission will accept an oral application until a written one can be sent. Call the Fair Work Commission and then lodge the unfair dismissal application as soon as possible.
