Safety

Before going to court for an intervention order, there are things that are recommended the affected family member does.

Before going to court for an intervention order the affected family member should:

  • plan their trip to and from court
  • identify a support person who can come to court with them
  • let the court, a support worker or lawyer know if there are concerns about safety
  • make childcare arrangements for any children, if possible.

See Safety tips.
