From 3 April 2019, if a caravan park (or site park) is to be closed, the owner who gives a notice to vacate must apply to VCAT for a determination about the amount of compensation they must pay to eligible caravan park residents or site tenants. A person will only be eligible for compensation of they own a dwellingt that is built on the site. This does not include a caravan annexe.
