Parole of sexual or violent offenders

From 1 April 2015, a violent of sexual offender will not be granted parole unless they have completed certain programs and behaved satisfactorily.

From 1 April 2015, a violent of sexual offender will not be granted parole unless they have:

  • successfully completed the prison programs that they are required
  • behaved satisfactorily for at least the second half of their time in prison.
