Minimum wage increase

In 2021, the Fair Work Commission announced a 2.5 percent increase to minimum wages.

The Fair Work Commission has announced a 2.5 percent increase to minimum wages. This increase will apply to all award wages. Increases to awards will start on different dates, depending on the award.

For anyone who is not covered by an award, the minimum wage will increase on 1 July 2021 to $772.60 per week, or $20.33 per hour. This increase applies to the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2021.
