If court refunds a court fine payment

Fines Victoria took over the processing and enforcement of court fine payments from 31 December 2017.

Fines Victoria took over the processing and enforcement of court fine payments from 31 December 2017. The Magistrates' Court no longer accepts payments for court fines. If court fine payments are sent by mistake to court after this date, an automatic refund cheque is sent to the client's contact address that is recorded on the court system. This is accompanied by a letter explaining the situation and asking the client to contact Fines Victoria.

Some cheques have been returned to VLA in cases where that address was listed as the current contact address for the client. VLA has made arrangements for cheques send to VLA to be returned to the court. Any cheques received at VLA should be returned to:
