Fixed term five year tenancy agreements – February 2019

Information about expansion of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 to cover tenancy agreements of more than 5 years fixed term.

Tenants and landlords can now agree to make a fixed-term tenancy agreement of more than 5 years under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997. This agreement must be in writing and must use a prescribed form.
