Direct prisoner access to Health Complaints Commission

Prisoners can speak directly with the Commission to discuss any issues they are having with the their health care or treatment.

To do this the prisoner has to enter their ID, their PIN and then dial '*#06'. As with other complainants, the prisoner will be asked to try to resolve the matter with their health services provider first.

Prisoners are also able to speak directly with the Mental Health Complaints Commissioner by entering their ID, their PIN and then dialling '*#03'
