Delays in processing court fines at Fines Victoria – September 2018

Fines Victoria are having problems with their IT systems, which has resulted in significant delays in processing court fines.

Fines Victoria are having problems with their IT systems, which has resulted in significant delays in processing court fines. They cannot process court fines and payment plans issued after 31 December 2017.  This means that clients who were issued with a court fine after this date will not have received a fine collection statement.

If clients are not able to pay their court fine in full on the day of their hearing, the only option for payments is to attend the Fines Victoria counter at 277 William Street, or to attend in person at their local Justice Service Centre. Fines Victoria are currently unable to accept payments online or by phone. They are working on this problem as a priority and are exploring ways to communicate with clients to tell them how they can make a payment.

See Fines—Justice Service Centre locations.
