Access to information for people conceived through a donor

From 1 March 2017 the law changed to allow people who are conceived through assistance from a donor to access donor information, regardless of when the donation was made.

From 1 March 2017 the law changed to allow people who are conceived through assistance from a donor to access donor information, regardless of when the donation was made. Before this date donors could remain anonymous if they donated before 1988. People involved are still be able to decide if they want to be able to be contacted and how this contact should happen. This information is registered and regulated by the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Technology Association (VARTA).
